Science Wednesday December 17th

Tonight just design two word problems that demonstrate an understanding of density;

Example-

What is the density of an object that has a width of 45cm, height of 100 cm and a length of 75 cm and a mass of 500 g?

Then, on a separate page write out the equations do out the math, and give the answers.  Tomorrow as a warm up we will swap problems with our lab partners.

I AM STAYING AFTER SCHOOL TUESDAY FOR EXTRA HELP ON DENSITY FOR 30 MINS. 

Science December 15th, 2014

Tonight's science homework is to write a one paragraph narrative on the actual process of determining the density of a cube.

Start by explaining how you will determine the VOLUME of the cube. Giving a step by step procedure and listing the materials you will use. Be clear about the math.

Next, go over how to use the triple beam balance in determining the MASS.

Lastly,
explain how you use both pieces of data to conclude the DENSITY.

DON'T FORGET TO EXPLAIN THE UNITS YOU WILL USE IN ALL THE STEPS.

BRING IT TO CLASS TOMORROW.
