1) Finish revising the PIE structure for each of your body paragraphs FOR MONDAY

Structure for each body paragraph:
Point Sentence (topic sentence that clearly states the reason and ties back to your thesis).

Illustration Sentences that DESCRIBE at least TWO examples from the play to prove your point.
Explanation Sentences that clearly EXPLAIN how your examples prove your point.
Concluding/Transition Sentence that brings the topic to a close while introducing the next reason.


Next Week:
We will finish revising our body paragraphs by focusing on selecting, blending, citing, and EXPLAINING quotes effectively.  We will then work on our transitions between paragraphs. Once our body paragraphs have been strengthened, we will take a look at our concluding paragraphs.  

We will also begin some pre-reading activities for our Fahrenheit 451 unit. I am very excited to begin reading and analyzing this novel with all of you! Get ready for some great discussions!!!

Science UPDATE ON THIS OLD HOUSE

It has been brought to my attention that a majority of the class needs more time to work.
Since we had a snow delay and we lost some working time... Tomorrow will be a working day.

Monday will be a blue print and check list update day.... and TUESDAY will be testing day.   NO ONE WILL WORK ON THE ACTUAL HOUSES ON MONDAY. NO ONE.

BEAM kids work on blue prints and check lists and have them to me Tuesday by the end of school.

2) Finish revising the PIE structure for each of your body paragraphs FOR MONDAY

Structure for each body paragraph:
1 Point Sentence (topic sentence that clearly states the reason and ties back to your thesis).

4 Illustration Sentences that DESCRIBE at least TWO examples from the play to prove your point.
4 Explanation Sentences that clearly EXPLAIN how your examples prove your point.
1 Concluding/Transition Sentence that brings the topic to a close while introducing the next reason.
